It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I can’t believe we are only 2 weeks away from Christmas. This time of year is so special and I love every minute of it. One of my favorite things to do is cuddle up with the Christmas tree lights on, hot cocoa in hand, and binge watch all the holiday movies. Netflix has some really great Christmas movies this year including cheesy, romantic ones and some classics. I took it upon myself to watch a bunch of Netflix’s Christmas movies and round up the absolute best ones I think you should watch to get into the Holiday spirit.
Add these festive holiday movies to your Netflix queue this month and grab your peppermint hot cocoa + your comfiest Christmas pajamas – I’ve got you covered!
1.) The Knight before Christmas
A medieval knight is transported to the present day, where he falls for a high school science teacher who’s disillusioned by love. I thought this one was really cute! It had a different love story than most cheesy Christmas movies and it was pretty funny too.
2.) Holiday in the Wild
After her husband ends their marriage, Kate embarks on a solo second honeymoon in Africa. There, she and Derek, a pilot, rescue a baby elephant. While nursing the elephant back to health, Kate discovers how much she loves her new surroundings.
3.) A Christmas Prince + A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby
Don’t miss out on this trio of holiday movies! An aspiring young journalist is sent abroad to get the scoop on a dashing prince who’s poised to be king, there are A LOT of twists and turns but the rest is history. It’s a heart warming to say the least.
4.) The Dog Walker’s Christmas Tale
A spoiled college student walks a developer’s dog and is delighted when she sees he plans to build a salon over a nearby dog park. When she meets a handsome dog walker at the park, she tries to put aside her selfish ways to help him save the park.
5.) The Spirit of Christmas
A young lawyer finds romance with a spirit that takes the form of a human 12 days before Christmas.
6.) Christmas with a View
One of my favorites! A ski resort is buzzing when a celebrity chef is named the new head chef. Clara isn’t excited about her new boss, but with their paths constantly crossing, Clara realizes that they have more in common than they first thought.
7.) The Holiday Calendar
I looooooved this one! A photographer inherits an antique Advent calendar that seems to predict her future — including a budding romance.
8.) The Princess Switch
This movie is super cute too. One week before Christmas, a duchess switches places with an ordinary woman from Chicago, who looks exactly like her, and they each fall in love with each other’s beaus.
9.) Christmas Crush
Twentysomething Georgia pines for her old boyfriend and is thrilled to have a second chance at love when she attends their high school reunion.
10.) Christmas Inheritance
Before an ambitious heiress can inherit her father’s business, she must deliver a special Christmas card to her dad’s former partner in Snow Falls. When a snowstorm strands her at the town inn, she discovers the true gift of Christmas. (Cheesy and predictable, but you gotta love it!)
11.) Holiday Rush
This one is a bit of a tear jerker. A widowed radio DJ and his four spoiled kids need to tighten their belts and pull together when their life of luxury turns lean just before Christmas.
12.) How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Classic! There’s also the new illustrated one which is just as good! But just in case you haven’t seen it, The Grinch decides to rob Whoville of Christmas — but a dash of kindness from little Cindy Lou Who and her family may be enough to melt his heart.
13.) Christmas with the Kranks
Save Frosty! Save Frosty! Another classic that’s really funny. When Luther Krank and his wife opt to skip Christmas — no tree and no rooftop Frosty — can they handle the fallout from their family and neighbors?
