Another birthday, another year closer to 30. I turned 26 at the beginning of the year and with only 4 years left in my precious 20’s I thought it would be fun to create a list of 30 things I would LOVE to do by the time I turn 30 (in no particular order). It’s important to make this list now so I give myself some time to achieve as many as possible! Hopefully this list inspires some fun for me for the next few years, and for YOU. All my twenty somethings unite 😉 Also, let’s promise each other to keep living our best life at every age, ok!?
1.) Attend a comedy show
I’ve been dying to go and see a live comedy show! Mike and I always watch comedians on Netflix and it’s so much fun. I can only imagine how much funnier it is IRL. One of our favorite comedians and who I would love love love to see is Sebastian Maniscalco!
2.) Travel abroad
Let’s be real, I want to travel everywhere, but I especially want to travel to Europe. I’ve been abroad twice, once to Jamaica and once to Mexico. Both times it was to an all inclusive resort which I LOVE, but I also want to do a little bit more adventuring in a different country. Mike and I would love to visit Ukraine and a few other European countries.
3.) Go indoor sky diving
This looks like so much fun! I’d NEVER be able to go real sky diving, but this is something I can totally enjoy.
4.) Do a fun run
I was thinking about doing the “Michael Scott’s Dunder Mifflin Scranton Meredith Palmer Memorial Celebrity Rabies Awareness Fun Run Pro Am Race for the Cure.” Haha just kidding, where are my Office fans at?! I would love to do a color run or something like that though!
5.) Learn to love myself
I want to learn to love myself and my body no matter what.
6.) Develop a morning routine
I always dream of having the perfect morning routine. Ideally it would start out waking up early with coffee, read/journal, a workout and then get ready for my day.
7.) Attend a yoga class
I have done yoga a few times with YouTube videos and I really like it, but haven’t been to an actual class yet. (I know, whats wrong with me?!)
8.) Eat at a 5 course restaurant
I think it would be really cool to go to a restaurant that serves a perfectly paired 5 course meal. I’ve never done anything like this, but definitely want to just for the experience.
9.) Ride in a hot air balloon
This has been on my bucket list for a while now. It looks like it would be super fun and romantic!
10.) Grow my blog
I feel like this one is an obvious one. I LOVE blogging and ever since I started blogging it’s a dream of mine to be able to do this full time.
11.) Pay off debt
Debt free life is the way to be. We have been working toward paying off our debt, especially student loans.
12.) Visit 6 new states
I feel like 6 new states in 4 years is totally doable. My top places I want to visit within the US are Tennessee (Nashville), Arizona (Sedona), Washington (Seattle), Hawaii (anywhere), Georgia (Savannah), and Louisiana (New Orleans).
13.) Find a career I love
I know I am not the only person in this boat. I want to be able to wake up everyday to a career I actually enjoy. I’ve been working part time as a virtual assistant/social media manager and I would love to be able to make it my full time career.
14.) Learn and master a signature dish
I love to cook and learn new things. I think it would be great to have a go-to signature dish that I’m known for rocking and be able to make it for company, parties, etc.
15.) Take care of my body
I want to overall live a healthier lifestyle and start taking better care of my body. I want to make it a habit to eat healthier, workout more, get enough sleep and drinking more water.
16.) Purge and simplify my life
I want to be all about that minimalist lifestyle! I totally believe that less is more. I hate feeling overwhelmed by stuff.
17.) Read more books
My favorite kind of books are self help and inspirational books! Some of my recent favorites have been “Girl, Wash your Face” by Rachel Hollis and “Uninvited” by Lysa Terkeurst. Next on my radar is “Own your Everyday” by Jordan Lee Dooley.
18.) Journal more
I used to journal a lot, but I kind of fell away from it. I’d love to get back into it. Making lists and writing things down make me happy and help me feel less stressed and more organized.
19.) Take a cooking class
There’s always room for improvement. I feel like it would be so much fun to take a couples cooking class with wine and a challenging fun new dish to make.
20.) Take a free or cheap college course
Never stop investing in yourself no matter how old you are!
21.) Find new hobbies
You know that dreaded question what are your hobbies? Well I need some so I can answer it, because binge watching Netflix in my pajamas just doesn’t cut it. :p I do like hiking, traveling, and things like that, but I want to find some new ones as well.
22.) Say yes to something that scares me
You can’t grow if you stay in your comfort zone. I want to start living more outside my comfort zone and start chasing dreams that scare me.
23.) Stop caring about what others think so much
I cannot stress how important this one is to me enough!!
24.) Sing karaoke
I am not the best singer, but this seems like so much fun to me. I think it would be especially fun to do with friends (after a drink or two & somewhere I don’t know anyone haha!)
25.) Learn a new language
Russian or Ukrainian to be exact! In case you didn’t know, my husband’s actually from Ukraine and he + his family speak it fluently so I would love to learn. Easier said than done though. Haha.
26.) Eat a fancy brunch
As shocking as this is, I haven’t officially been to a brunch and I really need to get on that ASAP. Bottomless mimosas would be legit.
27.) Express gratitude more often
I want to start being more intentional with gratitude and thankfulness.
28.) Create scrapbooks
All of my memories are digital and I would love to create some fun photo albums to have as backup and to look through.
29.) Invest $
My husband is a finance guy and we have been exploring different ways to invest our money. In the next few years we would definitely like to be investing in different areas.
30.) Move to a different state
I desperately want to move somewhere new, even if it’s just for a year or two to try it out. If I am dreaming I’d love to move to SC, NC, or FL and it would be a cute coastal town. I thrive in warm weather, it just makes me so happy.
BONUS
31.) Cross country road trip
Mike and I have been low key planning this for a few years now and already know what route we would take and what states we want to visit along the way! Just need to figure it all out (and find the time to take off of work). But, I seriously get so inspired by all those people who live in RVs and travel.
