Nantucket is a tiny island off the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It’s been named one of the 26 Most Beautiful Towns in America by Yahoo and I can see why. It’s a must visit destination if you love coastal charm. Nantucket has been on my travel bucket list for a while now after always seeing pictures of it on Pinterest. Mike and I finally planned a trip to check out this beloved island and it did not disappoint.
The island is only accessible by flight or ferry. We took the fast ferry, it’s a little more expensive, but definitely worth it! It only took about an hour to get there from Hyannis, MA. We had so much fun renting scooters and exploring the island as much as we possibly could.ย We ate delicious food, did some shopping, visited light houses, and beaches. Our day on Nantucket Island couldn’t have been more perfect.
I just want to highlight a few recommendations from our trip that I know others will just love too! Rent a scooter from Cook’s Cycle Shop. We chose this place because they had scooters for 2 people and they let you keep them the longest. Make sure to try some delicious ice cream from Jack + Charlie’s ice cream shop! Get caffeinated at Lemon Press, the cutest little boho coffee shop I’ve ever seen. Eat at Club Car, Millie’s, or Cru. Check out the Sconset Bluff walk, walk through the backyards of oceanfront homes on Baxter Road and the views are spectacular. Visit a lighthouse, or two. We got to see Brant Point Light House and Sankaty Light house (you definitely need a scooter to see it’s too far to walk to). Finish your day by catching the sunset at Jettie’s beach.
Below are some of my favorite photos from our trip to Nantucket!
